Cention N is our alternative to amalgam for class I and class II cavities. The best part? It outperforms glass ionomer cement, offering a strong, bioactive* and tooth-colored restoration.
Natural esthetics
Cention N is tooth-coloured and features a high translucency level of approx. 11%. This allows Cention N to blend in naturally with the surrounding tooth structure, while simultaneously covering discolored dentin.
Bioactive ion release*
For Cention N, we developed a patented alkaline filler that enhances the release of hydroxide ions during acid attacks, helping to regulate the pH value. This can help prevent the demineralization of the tooth structure.
Additionally, the release of a high number of fluoride and calcium ions can support the remineralization of dental enamel.
High durability
Cention N offers high flexural strength exceeding 100 MPa, providing high fracture resistance. Thus, it is suitable for stress-bearing Class I and II restorations and even stronger than glass ionomer cement in terms of flexural strength. In combination with an adhesive, it ensures high marginal integrity.
Fast and easy application
Cention N does not require the use of a primer or varnish and does not necessarily need a curing device. Up to seven working steps can be saved compared with the application of conventional glass ionomer cements.
