Schaan, Liechtenstein – 9 September 2025
The Ivoclar Group, one of the world's leading manufacturers of integrated solutions for high-quality dental applications, presents the latest edition of the IPS e.max Scientific Report (Vol. 4). The report offers a concise overview of the clinical performance of this all-ceramic material family. It summarises more than 20 international studies and confirms documented survival rates of over 95%. This positions IPS e.max among the most reliable materials in restorative dentistry. The report is intended for practices and laboratories that value clinically proven quality and long-term reliability for their patients.
Wide range of indications and perfectly coordinated components
With more than 230 million restorations* placed worldwide and clinical data spanning up to 17 years, IPS e.max is one of the most thoroughly evaluated all-ceramic systems available. The portfolio includes lithium disilicate glass-ceramic (IPS e.max Press and CAD), high-strength zirconium oxide ceramic (IPS e.max ZirCAD) and a fluorapatite layering ceramic (IPS e.max Ceram). Whether for single-tooth restorations, bridges, or implant-supported solutions – these materials enable aesthetic, long-lasting, and customised treatment approaches, in both analog and digital workflows.
The report documents very high survival rates: 96.5% for IPS e.max Press over 16.9 years, 97.2% for IPS e.max CAD over 10 years, and 99% for IPS e.max ZirCAD over 5 years. This robust evidence allows for predictable treatment planning, reduces the need for retreatment and fosters trust between dental practices and laboratories and when communicating with patients.
IPS e.max materials are equally well suited for analog and digital workflows and have consistently delivered high levels of accuracy, aesthetics and strength. Harmonised complementary components such as veneering ceramics, stains and luting materials, together with a 10-year warranty**, complete the system.
The new IPS e.max Scientific Report, Volume 4, provides an evidence-based foundation for informed decision-making in practices and laboratories. IPS e.max stands for documented quality, high success rates, and long-term patient satisfaction.
