Your questions about Ivotion® Base Print – our answers.
No, the focus in development was to achieve similar properties like conventional proven PMMA. In combination with a tooth arch the strength of the denture is additionally increased.
No, we can use Ivotion Base Print on Asiga printers and further 3D-printer systems are planned.
As an innovative materials manufacturer, we are working on further 3D printing materials. IvotionBase Print is the first 3D printing material from Ivoclar for permanent use in patient mouth. In this first step we combine this denture base material with milled teeth out of Ivotion Dent discs and bond it with Ivotion Bond.
Yes – for the bonding procedure we recommend to use Ivotion Bond.
Yes, you can use special designed teeth for digital dentures and for the bonding we recommend to use Ivotion Bond.
Yes, you can use SR Nexco materials for individualizations.
It is possible to do this with the ProBase Cold material. The workflow is identical to conventional denture bases.
You can build several dentures bases in one printing process and parallel mill the denture teeth out of Ivotion Dent.
This is identical to conventional denture base materials.
In order to avoid these discolorations, dry the printed object after cleaning, while protecting it from ambient light, as described in the requirements for approved systems. Please also check the IFU.
The best storage temperature is 23±2 °C. Prevent a storage temperature below 17 °C. If material had been exposed to colder temperatures, please check the IFU.
The shades are oriented and match as good as possible to the standard shade tabs. For a good communication between dentist and dental lab we are offering STL-files of the 3 shade tabs on our website to print them and provide to the dentist.
It is not possible to print veins in our resins.
TPO and BAPO are phosphine oxide-based photo initiators which are used in most SL-materials.
TPO-L is a phosphinate that is not classified as toxic to human reproduction. Phosphine oxide and phosphinate are two different types of molecules.
An inhomogeneity can be observed due to the cold storage. This can be explained by the following process. The lower the temperature at which Ivotion Base Print is stored, the higher the probability that the polymer will separate from the monomer mixture. The following procedure is recommended to make the material homogeneous again. Heat the material to max. 60 °C for 24 h that the precipitated polymer can be homogeneously incorporated into the monomer mixture again and shake the bottle.
