With Ivoclar Joy, we support children and young people in disadvantaged regions by providing urgently needed dental care and education on oral health. In doing so, we give them hope for a better future – because untreated tooth pain often leads to school dropouts and thus has a lasting impact on the life prospects of these children.

Enabled by the Steering Committee, consisting of Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors Christina Zeller and CEO Markus Heinz, the project leaders Dr. Tatiana Repetto-Bauckhage and Dr. med. dent. Philipp Schneider have established the first base stations in Ghana, Cambodia, and Peru. In 2025, another one followed in the Philippines. Our commitment focuses on raising awareness, promoting early education, and empowering people to help themselves.

In addition, Ivoclar Joy funds the missions of dental professionals as well as materials and training. All treatments provided by our outreach teams, who usually visit the children and young people directly at their schools, follow three phases:

  1. Prevention and oral hygiene
  2. Minor restorations
  3. Basic fillings and surgical procedures
