Cention Forte is a self-curing, radiopaque filling material with light-curing option for the direct restorative treatment of anterior and posterior teeth. Cention Forte belongs to the materials group of alkasites.

This filling material is considered to be the better alternative to amalgam than glass ionomer cement because of its reduced application protocol, high flexural strength and lifelike aesthetics.

The alkaline filler of the material releases bioactive calcium ions, fluoride ions and hydroxide ions, which prevents demineralisation and supports remineralisation.

The ion release is much higher at an acidic pH value than it is at a neutral pH value. Acid attacks are thus neutralised much more quickly.

Cention Primer is a self-etching, self-curing primer for dental hard tissue, that has been especially designed for Cention Forte.
